SHERPA at CIRSE 2025
The SHERPA project participated in the CIRSE Congress 2025 with a booth and a talk. On Sunday, September 14, Pietro Zappalà delivered a talk titled “SHERPA: Integrating robotics, AI and AR in interventional radiology” as part of the programme AI in IR: Education, Navigation and Workflow Optimisation (SPH 228).
The talk introduced SHERPA’s approach to combining robotics, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality to enhance workflow, navigation, and education in interventional radiology. Alongside the talk, the SHERPA booth provided participants with the opportunity to learn more about the project’s progress and activities. Several project partners were present on site (see photo on the right), engaging directly with attendees and contributing to the discussions.
The event was a valuable opportunity to engage with clinicians, researchers, and industry partners, fostering discussion and exchange on the future of interventional radiology.
The recording of the talk by Pietro Zappalà is available below.
