HFC

Human Factors Consult (HFC) was founded in 2003 as a private research institution in the field of human factors. Our goal is to identify and solve problems involved in adapting technology to humans. Thanks to our interdisciplinary approach, we can support our customers and research partners in all phases of the development and testing of their new technologies. Our psychologists not only contribute important expertise in the fields of perception psychology, psychophysiology and human factors to projects, but also have decades of experience in drafting and refining user-centred requirement specifications. Planning, conducting and evaluating user studies and surveys has always been one of the core competencies of our work. Whether it’s testing specific prototypes on the way to the finished product or conducting large-scale target group surveys online and offline, we support our customers in projects that place high demands on statistical analysis and methodology. We use the insights gained in the process to develop tangible optimisation measures, while ensuring that the product is tailored as closely as possible to its intended target group.

Role in the project

HFC is part of the SHERPA core team for research methodology and contributes its expertise in the fields of human factors, psychology, usability and human-machine interaction to the preparation, alignment and implementation of the user research.
