SHERPA Kick-off Meeting
On January 28-29, 2025, the SHERPA project partners gathered at the Philips Innovation Center in Best, Netherlands, to kick off the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI)-Project SHERPA. The meeting marked the beginning of a promising journey aimed at revolutionising interventional radiology (IR) through AI-powered assistive technologies.

The SHERPA project, awarded a €13.6 million grant by the Innovative Health Initiative, is set to innovate minimally invasive treatments in neurology and oncology. The project aims to empower interventional radiologists by providing AI-powered assistive technologies that act as seamless and trusted companions across workflows. By automating repetitive tasks and minimizing errors, SHERPA will enhance clinical accuracy, improve patient outcomes, and alleviate the burden on IRs, while extending its human-centric approach to other medical specialties.
